The 7th Annual Travel Media Showcase will be held in Fayetteville, North Carolina. What is the Travel Media Showcase? It’s a three-day program introducing journalists, of both print and broadcast, together with domestic and international travel representatives. Why attend? It’s an opportunity to network with other writers and editors, meet domestic and international PR reps, research story ideas, learn about fam trips, and much more. Here are the details:

2006 Travel Media Showcase

DATE: August 22-25, 2006
LOCATION: The Crown Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina

So, what’s the cost? It’s free! The journalist registration includes three night accommodations at the Holiday Inn Bordeaux, event functions, local fam trips, and a $150 travel refund for those traveling 300 miles or more. What’s the catch? The showcase is open to qualified journalists, including freelance and staff writers, editors, photographers, and more. The application process takes a few minutes, but be prepared to write a profile, cut and paste recently published clips — with urls — and list a credit card number for your room. Your card will not be charged in less you no show.
