I forgot to tell you that I am officially going to BEA this year. It will be the first Book Expo of America I can remember that Travelers’ Tales hasb’t had a booth. So, it’ll be a different kind of work—party, research, and shmooze.

I’ll be going for my own interests and to chat up the Fall release of Whose Panties are These? Thanks to the NATJA awardit will be a nearly comped weekend. Susan will be going with me, and it will be her first time in Chicago. I can’t even remember the number of times I’ve been, but I think this might be my seventh or eighth.

A Woman’s Path is up for a Foreword Award (Sand in My Bra was not entered), and Travelers’ Tales has two other books that are also being considered for awards, including Hyenas Laughed at Me and Now I Know Why.

I’ve already signed up for one party with the Independent Travel Stores Association. Space is limited, but you might still be able to sign up.

It’s going to be a great weekend. If you’re going to be at BEA, or in Chicago the first week of June, let me know and I’ll see if I can make some time to meet up. If enough WR fans will be around, I’ll organize a get together.

  1. Am not! I’m going to see the, er, Jen Leos. They’re a real band. They opened up for Dylan once. Yeah, that’s it…

That’s a nice hat you’re wearing. It looks like…Oh, now you’ve closed the curtains. Can’t see anything now. Never mind.

Actually, hoping to see Rush on the 5th. Not sure if my friend got enough tix, but if not, I might as well come out there and stalk you. Thanks for the idea!
