Newly Purnell, author of Newly.com: An American Living and Teaching English in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, flattered me big-time when he invited me to participate in his year end Bloggers and Books post.

Bloggers Favorite Books of 2004

I think you’ll recognize some of these well known (mostly-lit) bloggers. I feel pretty chuffed to be included among them.
The Old Hag by Lizzie Skurnick
The Elegant Variation by Mark Sarvas
Pen Machine by Derek K. Miller
Boing Boing by Mark Frauenfelder
scribble, scribble, scribble… by Dale Keiger
Beautiful Horizons by Randy Paul
Harmany Music by Wendy Harman

and of course Vagablogging, by you know who, The Man, The Myth, The Hottie. (Rolf Potts) Rolf, you owe me another beer! There was a super cool woman at the BootsnAll Travel Party that had read your book and was raving about it. So, of course, I joined the he’s-so-great session. I’m going to have to come up with a name for this action of Rolf-talk since it happens so often.

  1. Jay…is this AnthemBlog Jay? If yes, first of all….HUGE apologies for not getting back to you about London/Paris bookstores. Second, Rolf-snogging wouldn’t work because a snog is a kiss, and therefore snogging, would be kissing. Not quite the action. Though I’m sure many of the women that approach me to discus the finer points about Rolf and/or his book wouldn’t mind.

    Keep thinking!

  2. Hmmm…getting closer, Dusty. But maybe more along the lines of a Thoreau or Walt Whitman reference. I think he might like that.
