Get on over to Book Passage in Corte Madera tonight for the last author event for The Thong Also Rises! This is also your last chance to show me your thong for a free copy to be mailed to you by Christmas.

Tonight we have some great contributors joining us. Barbara Robertson will be reading “Getting Grandma,” Marcy Gordon is just back from Italy and entertaining us with Jennifer Colvin will cracking us up with “Heave Ho!”, and “Gently You Have to Have to Avoid a Frightening Behavior.”

And I have urgent need of you being there because a TV producer will be in the audience seeing if I’m worthy of a TV show. So, please….come out. For me….I’ll owe you one.

If you just can’t make it out tonight, please attend one of my friends’ evenets.

Marybeth Bond will be reading from A Woman’s Asia on 12/11, 4:00 p.m.
Bond has put together an invigorating collection of women’s stories about Asia, with a mixture of travel, cultural and moral tales. She includes stories of women dancing in Mongolia with a descendant of Ghengis Khan, discussing the plight of poor women in rural India, teaching English in Laos, bathing with elephants in India, and confronting their moral choices over dinner in Bangkok.

Don George will be reading from By the Seat of My Pants on 12/14, 7:00p.m.
George presents 31 tales that run the gamut from close encounter safaris to loss-of-face follies, wrong roads taken to arguments mistaken. The collection brings together some of the world’s most renowned travelers and storytellers along some outstanding new voices.

  1. Good luck with that, Jen! I wish I could be there to lend a supportin’ hand (or undergarment, I suppose). If it’s anything like the Panties event last year, it’ll be standing room only. And that always looks good to TV producers. (Hey, how’d you set that up? Curious minds want to know.)

Kick thong ass tonight! See you on your own travel/gambling/writing show soon!
