The LA Times Book Fest is Huge. It’s the biggest literary event on the West Coast. And, believe it or not, this is the first year I’m going. I didn’t plan months ahead and try and get on a panel, but thanks to the World Hum reminder last week, I’m all set to go see Don George and Elliott Hester this Sunday.

I’m going to meet Jim Benning for:

SUN 2:30 PM – Around the World in 60 Minutes: Travel Writing
Moore 100 PANEL 2104
Moderator Ms. Catharine Hamm
Mr. Don George
Mr. Elliott Hester
Ms. Catherine Watson

Getting tickets in Pasadena was tough yesterday. The tix to the panel discussions are FREE, but you have to go to Ticketmaster and pick them up because there is a limited amount of seats. When I showed up at my local TM, the line was out the door and close to two hours long. Big thanks to Jim who went and got me a ticket at his San Diego location which was much breezier. I’m going to hopefully go back today and get more. There are a whole bunch that I want to see. It’s a two day event.

Check out the list of events, and maybe I’ll bump into you. It’s going to be a blast. I might even show up for both days! If I can get more tickets…
