Today is my last day at Travelers’ Tales for a while….again. We had a nice farewell lunch with James, Larry, Susan, myself, and my imaginary fifth. I swear that’s what juggling will do to you. James and I walked in the other day to make reservations at a nice restaurant in the neighborhood. We booked it for five. And didn’t realize until we sat down we didn’t have five. It was so ridiculous. You should’ve seen us counting and recounting ourselves, sure that we had five.

Susan is doing great and getting herself back into things. I’ve been preparing for the move all week, and thanks to a handful of friends have managed it ok. Instead of shoving it all into a bag today and tomorrow morning like the old me, I’ve actually been getting ready bit by bit.

Not that I’m out of the woods yet. I still have a full day at TT, and a full night of more packing. And somewhere in there I have to blog for two websites not including this one. Luckily, Kelly has done enough to keep you in news & resources through the weekend.

I’m sorry I can’t answer your emails about whether your story got in Thong or not. I’m just not prepared to do all that looking up, and we’re also not done with the process yet. Still pulling together the first TOC, and then there will be a second. Check in again in a month…

Anyway, it doesn’t really feel like I’m saying goodbye to TT because I’ve used them as a home base and come and gone for five years now. And before that it was just about five years solid. So, no tears at all. Besides, we’ll still be doing Thong, Cheap Stingy Bastards, and booking the fall tour. hmmm…and somewhere in there I’m going to need new websites for both. Well, one thing at a time. And you dear readers, won’t notice much of a difference since it’s all virtual anyway. Stay tuned and give a shout if you’re in Vegas this summer.

  1. Dusty, did you mean LAS? I will be stopping in Los Angeles, but it was a last minute addition. No time for socializing. Thanks, though! I will 🙂

  2. Ditto Dusty’s comment regarding Susan.

I cracked up about the reservations you made for 5. That’s one I haven’t done – yet!

All the best. Have fun too.

  3. thanks for the kind words. I am, indeed, on the mend and grateful for Jen’s help, both at home and at Travelers’ Tales. It has made my recuperation easier and less stressful. No tears, but we will miss her nonetheless. she is a great light in our lives and will add measurably to the neon in Vegas.

  4. Ahhh, who’s a big mush ball?!! 🙂 🙂

Don’t worry, I highly doubt I’ll meet anyone in Vegas who will think that highly of me. There is so much going on here it’s impossible to notice any one person. Especially if she doesn’t wear a D cup. 😉
