The New York Times Travel Trade Show is set for this weekend, Friday February 29 to Sunday March 2, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention center in Manhattan. The show is one of the largest trade and consumer travel shows in the country with more than 30,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors.

This year’s keynote speaker for the Travel Industry Conference is Cheryl Hudak, Certified Travel Consultant (CTC), president and CEO, American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). Also speaking will be Arthur and Pauline Frommer, Reids Guides founder Reid Bramblett, Rick Steves, the gang from Globetrekker TV, and many others. There will be cultural performances, giveaways, discounts, a food court, presentations by Travel Channel hosts, and much more.

The Travel Industry Conference is set for Friday, February 29, while the other days are open to the public. Admission is for $20 ($30 at the door). I’ll be at the show Friday covering the event for Written Road, so expect a weekend write up.
