Europe From a Backpack is accepting submissions on a variety of books until June 30, 2004.

Their guidelines are similar to Travelers’ Tales in that they are asking for non-exclusive and paying $100, with shorter stories turned in sooner having a better chance.
We’ll see if I can drum up something from this Belgium trip. Or am I too old to be considered a backpacker? After all, I left my pack at home on the chance that I’ll end up in Monte Carlo for the ultimate flutter. I figured my Tarshjay black wheelies would give me an ounce more class than something that made me look like Quasimodo.
