Suite101 has begun accepting contributing writers, and considering they have a very large travel section on a range of destinations and topics, it couldn’t hurt to test it out and see the response. The new model was designed to build a greater database for the site and in the hopes of breeding new Feature writers when positions open. It’s like a training program of sorts. It’s a good way to start building clips, of which the copyright will remain with you after one year. I have been a feature writer for Suite101.com for about a year now (South America Travel) , and although I can’t say I have made much money, I have gained quite a bit of exposure and made some really great contacts with editors and other writers that have lead to a number of other assignments. They actually bgean offering revenue share from google ads now rather than pay by page view, and my income has jumped dramatically in just a week. The editors do a good job of training too, especially if you want to learn how to write for the web and increase your page rank on popular search engines.

If you are interested, they have an application form where all you need to do is attach your resume and a couple of sample articles.
