Sorry from my end also for being a bit lax on posting here. I’ve been over my head blogging (not writing :))

Other than Written Road, I now write for Gadling, Vagablogging, Gridskipper, and Map Magazine — am committed to doing a minimum of 26 posts a week (!!!!!!), that doesn’t include my own personal blog, or the occasional magazine piece I get to write, or the London School of Journalism course that I need to finish asap, or working on my new vlog.

All this writing, urrr, I mean blogging doesn’t pay my bills yet, so I am still teaching English. In a nutshell, I am swamped — there are not enough hours in a day.

But it’s all good. I work to my schedule and seem to be on the path to being a full-time travel-blogger (yaaay!). But it’s tiring, and doesn’t leave much time for anything else. I don’t know what TV is, I haven’t been to the cinema in AGES, and the only time I manage to read is on the metro. I just about manage to go out a few times to remind myself that I am a social being.

Sometimes I do manage to escape randomly for a few days — more out of desperation to be away from my laptop, than anything else. I went to Rome last weekend, and am off to Barcelona next weekend to work on the European Radio Broadcasting Awards — I’m pretty excited about that.

I don’t know if I should be worried about my writing career since I’m only blogging these days, but I really don’t have time to think about that right now.

So there it is, my life in a nutshell. It may not sound like it, but I do love it :))

Stay tuned, posts will not cease!

  1. Hey Abha –

I know how you feel. Gotta make the time to take a deep breath, put a log on the fire and read a good book cover to cover 🙂

It would help if travel blogging paid a little better…as Michael Yessis was telling me, it’s all about what the market will sustain.

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Hey Abha – managed to finally check in on your blogging sites again. I’m also manic with work what with the launch of travelbookmarking.com and somuchworld.com.

You go girl, don’t be bothered by the fact you’re “blogging” and not “writing” – it’s all the same in my book – the key thing is you are writing!

Looking forward to hearing about your ERBA trip!

    Keep it up Abha!

    Helen
