To continue the theme of Abha’s latest post, there’s lots to gain from one of Travellers’ Tales Travel Writing and Photography workshops; even if you’ve already nailed some paid commissions. They offer practice, practice and more practice, professional and peer appraisals and the chance to add a few more industry contacts to your address book.

This week, the well-respected course provider announced three new Advanced Level professional learning courses. They’ll suit aspiring and improving travel writers who want to meet and learn from the great and good of the UK travel publishing scene.

Dan Linstead, Editor of Wanderlust magazine, hosts a Travel Writing For Magazines workshop. Steve Watkins, bestselling photographer of the BBC Books title Unforgettable Walks To Take Before You Die, leads the Travel Photography For Magazines class. Both master classes run this November 17th – 19th in London.

You can hit sunnier climes for the third master class: The Marrakech Photography Weekend (November 21st to 24th). Participants will learn to take evocative, commercially viable shots, again, from Steve Watkins whilst enjoying the hospitality of a traditional Moroccan riad.

Location-wise, Travellers’ Tales hold worldwide creative workshops everywhere from London and Marrakech to the Arctic Circle, Jordan, Seville and Cordoba.

Prices start at £395 per person. To book yourself into a class visit www.travellerstales.org
