Three and a half more weeks till Book Expo America.
That means it's time to get the draft of your proposal finished and looked over by your favorite editors. More importantly it's time to shine up your most stand-up-all-day-at-the-convention shoes. Or in my case, go buy some.

Between the two plus promo for Sand In My Bra, you know exactly what I'll be doing this weekend. Ok, well you don't know everything. I'll also be watching another episode or three of the Sopranos. And having Sunday coffee with Sean and Chris of BootsnAll. Now you know everything. Wait, nope, I'll also be working on the new World Travel Watch web site. NOW you know everything.

  1. Here’s something I’d like to see while I’m at BEA:

    >>Friday May 30th, 2003
    Room 515B – 4pm-6pm
LEAVING NEW YORK—BUT NOT THE BUSINESS…
Three agents, all of whom once were editors or agents in New York, will talk about working as an agent far from New York ‘s major publishing houses (from Colorado or the West Coast in these instances). New York editors will join the panel to discuss whether relationships between editors and agents are different when the agent is far away; whether there are advantages to being in other locales; and how to maintain contacts and connections from afar. Open to all literary and dramatic agents attending BEA, as well as editors from publishing houses.<<

  2. Ack. I suppose I should think about getting this done, while driving. On the positive side, I’ll be back in L.A. by then 🙂

  3. didn’t work on the proposal, went to see Xmen, posted flyers about the upcoming event, and most importantly, found out that I had been renting the WRONG Sopranos. We started with the first three episodes of the FIRST season, but then accidentally switched to the THIRD season.
Good thing Blockbuster was out of Season 3, episodes 7-9 so we could stop and figure it out. Back on track and lovin’ it.
