I turned down a trip to Vegas today. I love Vegas, and since I can work from anywhere, a hotel room with high speed internet and a big soothing bath tub a few steps away always sounds good to me. Even for one night while the man takes his meetings. But no, too much to catch up on.

Yesterday I was in a haze. Couldn’t manage much. Does that ever happen to you? Random days where nothing in the brain is clicking. Today is the opposite. Ideas are tearing through me and I can barely act fast enough. I’m catching up on the weekend’s to-do list that has been categorized as URGENT and NEXT URGENT.

Now, while I’m power crunching, I’m using the time between projects to do clean up. You know, that magazine pitch you’ve been meaning to send for more than a month. Then there was that essay that needed to be repurposed. I’m powering through those, too. Next up — licensing. I have to pay up on Jotspot and On the Job.

What are you doing surfing the net? Get back to your work. But, instead of the daily grind. Find a few minutes to take care of writing business that you’ve been sitting on. You’ll feel great afterwards!
