Well isn't this a cool and useful looking website.

MediaKitty.com

A web service that hooks up travel journalists with PR professionals. This is the best travel writer service site I’ve seen in a long while.

Networking and Namebuilding. True you have to write to be a writer, but there are people out there that can make the business end of it a lot easier.

  1. Great News! Thanks for the inside scoop, Kimber. I signed up, but can’t check it out thoroughly from my old Mac. From what I saw on the home page, Media Kitty will be as useful as you want it to be. Writers can go beyond just asking for PR help on a post. If they’re smart, they’ll look at the market leads being talked about and research/contact them offline.

  2. I agree with Kimber…MediaKitty and Travelwriters.com are my two biggest leads to getting pr firms to contact me.

Sorry I missed you on your Wisconsin trek…I left before I got your itinerary and my mom doesn’t have a computer. I was actually in Madison on the same day you were, so I’m really bummed.

But my Florida invite stands. I can get you a Border’s instore in Orlando, at least.

Email me whenever you’re interested. 😉

  3. Sorry I missed you Michelle! Lets get in touch next year about Florida. I’ve had interest from other parts of the state so maybe we could add it. I’ll be at BEA in Chicago in June, but we’ll be planning the tour for Panties in Feb/March. Feel free to contact me any time.
