Sand Francisco here I come. Here I am actually, and yes, I meant to spell it that way. I got to Travelers’ Tales this morning and it's been a whirlwind of emails, trips to the printer, online searches — and my favorite thing, answering the phone. Oh yes, and hugs. TTers give the best hugs.

The office has been bustling this morning. Our publisher James O’Reilly and Michele Wetherbee, our Art Director, were in for a design meeting. Michele did the cover for Sand in My Bra. Tanya Pearlman, co-editor of Central America also stopped in to say hello.

So, what’s new on the book front? I’ve been working with a few of the contributors to get their excerpts ready for the events this week. Which is very cool. I feel connected to the Sand contributors in a way that I haven’t seen or experienced before with any of the other TT anthologies. Tonight I get to meet Kate Crawford who wrote “Learing to Think Outside a Parisian Box.” and Colette O’Connor, author of “Internal Affairs.”

Connecting with contributors and future contributors is my favorite part of being an editor. I love the energy that surrounds events and this week is extra special since I’m in my hometown (literary anyway). Stay tuned and get your bra over to our beach party this Saturday!
