Here’s a call from David Farley, the editor of the forthcoming Travelers’ Tales Prague and the Czech Republic:

We’re searching for funny, quirky, meaningful, adventurous and personal nonfiction tales based in Prague or its environs in the Czech Republic for an anthology of travel stories. We seek good writing about uncommon experiences that captures a sense of place and reveals something about ourselves. Writing beyond the anecdotal is encouraged.

As with other Travelers’ Tales city and country anthologies, stories in Travelers’ Tales Prague and the Czech Republic will be categorized into
five sections:

Essence of Prague
Some Things to Do
Going Your Own Way
In the Shadows (the dark side of the city/country, its traditions and culture)
The Last Word (one magical moment to remind the reader just why the country is worth visiting).

Stories that have already been published, including book excerpts, are welcome as long as the authors retain the copyright or can obtain permission from the copyright holder to reprint the material.

In order to get a feel for what we’re looking for, please check out other Travelers’ Tales anthologies including The Best Travelers’ Tales 2004,
Travelers’ Tales Paris, Travelers’ Tales Ireland, Travelers’ Tales Italy or any other of the 80 Travelers’ Tales anthologies. And/or check out: www.TravelersTales.com.

Contributors will receive a $100 honorarium and a copy of the book.
