One of the Written Road readers, Rabbit, pointed me towards the Submission Tracker at WritersMarket.com. All I can say is, now I have a new toy!
For only $2.99 a month you can have access to their entire publishing database, AND have a full submission manager. I would still like to have the book, for random inspiration — but I love searching their database to find out who pays on acceptance, who allows you to submit simultaneously, and both with a combination of subject or trade theme. You can even save your searches in files.
I tell ya, there are so many leads online that finding the time to write the stuff to submit is more challenging than finding new markets!

I’m so glad you’re finding this useful. I’ve found my submission tracker there just gets more valuable by the day, as I add in other markets that aren’t listed in their database. I’ve also found many good ones that are. Because I travel, this is especially helpful, since I can sign in from anywhere, even the occasional Kinko’s, between laptop plug-ins 🙂 I think it’s cool they’re offering a monthly rate now, though I pay by the year for a little more of a discount. Very cool tool 🙂
