Still on the subject of Creative Nonfiction… I wanted to point out that they have a fascinating mentoring program that I’m eager to learn more about.
The program is designed to help serious writers who want guidance on an essay, manuscript, or book project get the assistance they need through experienced writers/editors who’ve been through it before.
Their packages range from a single workshop that includes a direct critique of a manuscript up to 25 double spaced pages, an overall evaluation of the genre, and a follow up phone call ($250)—to a personalized ten session course akin to a no-residency grad school…but without the degree at the end ($2500). Note that CNF is more than willing to work with writers to design alternatives between the two extremes for a program that would be the best fit for you.
